45 minutes of bliss
While my son was sleeping, I decided to indulge myself in a bath today and it was fabulous. Using a peach bath bomb, I soaked in the tub listening to a piano being played in the rainforest. It was blissful.
Even thou my mind kept telling me I needed to do all these other things like the washing from swimming this morning, I decided to take a time out. As mothers we don’t get to stop much and enjoy ‘me time.’ We’re always trying to think ahead, rush around to get the chores done while our little ones sleep or prep the next meal. Trust me, my brain didn’t let me forget about those things while I was in the bath, but taking some deep breaths, feeling how the water softly touched my skin and listening to relaxing music, I sure did try hard to be in the moment for me.
