LET’S CHAT ABOUT STAYING HEALTHY WHILE YOU TRAVEL ️🏝⛰
I used to struggle with this, but after spending almost 3 months overseas last year, I’m sharing what I learned for staying grounded, cozy, minimally stressed + happy and healthy while traveling.
🌞 Pack food from home if you have strict food intolerances. Bringing along some of your own travel-friendly snacks such as nuts or seed mixes, GF crackers, leftover organic sausages, homemade bliss balls or jelly etc. can make the trip less stressful, less expensive and easier on your tummy. And you won’t have to eat shitty airplane food either!
🌞 Drink water, more water, and then drink water again. Filtered of course. I always take a water bottle with an in-built filter so I can avoid the chemicals and parasites that may be lurking in the water.
🌞 Creature comforts: I always travel with herbal tea, dehydrated bone broth, earplugs for sleeping, digestion-boosting essential oils, magnesium, coconut charcoal and probiotics. Pick your comforts and take them along so you can continue to nourish yourself and feel grounded.
🌞 Bring comfy sneakers and kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get your exercise in while exploring your destination by foot. Walking is great for the body, mind, spirit, and the experience!
🌞 Have grace and self forgiveness. It’s not about perfection, it never was and it never will be. Just do your best every day and recognise your humanness.
If you have travel plans this year, I have created a handy eBook called ‘Gutventure Travel Guide’, it contains a buttload of healthy travel tips, supplement and packing suggestions as well as 40 super easy, #glutenfree #dairyfree #sugarfree #wholefood recipes that are #lowcarb & #gutfriendly
