I'm almost back to my usual morning self getting up and started without dragging my feet to work out again! It feels good to remember how much I love it again!❤ Today's workout was a lot of cardio (medium and high intensity intervals) and core moves on sliders!

Anxiety thinking is based in either the past or the future.  Neither of which we have any control over. Try this simple grounding practice to shift your thinking back to the present moment:
Sit comfortably and take 3 deep breaths in through your nose filling your belly and then a nice slow exhale through your mouth unclenching your jaw as you do. Now engage your senses by noticing the following:
5 things you see 
4 things you feel
3 things you hear
2 things you smell
1 thing you taste 
Finish this grounding practice by taking another 3 deep breaths in through your nose and exhaling slowly relaxing your shoulders as you do. Use this simple practice anytime you notice your mind wandering to the past or future. I've let one fear after another into my life due to the past. My biggest fear is, in actuality, fear itself. I used to live life in the "Let's try this and see what happens" mode. Now, it's more like "Let's check for every single wrong thing that could happen first and talk myself out of it" mode.
.
It hasn't been until recently I've come to realize living with fear has cost me more than overcoming those fears. It may hurt to take the first step. It may hurt taking the second. It may hurt for the first hundred steps, but eventually the hurt begins to subside. Faith and confidence surpass the "what ifs". You then find your smile again. You find your freedom again. You change.

I've overcome several fears since I began working with my Anxiety Coach (@beatanxiety.me). The more I overcome, the more I want to overcome the rest. Yes, it's scary at first, but it can also be a life transforming experience which can save you from that endless companion who's kept you locked in the dark for far too long.

Take the leap! Have faith, not only in God, but in yourself! You've survived all of the hardship, pain, trauma, abuse, neglect, etc. and are still here. Can overcoming your fear(s) be any worse than any of that? The best part of facing your fears though, is it also frees yourself from the chains which have kept you anchored from truly living the life you were meant to....

I think many of us had been affected by the suicide deaths of 2 young, popular Love Island stars in the space of 9 months; Sophie Gordon (31) and MIke Thalassitis (26). The viewers and fans started calling for more support for the contestants and it seems ITV is finally starting to take notice. 
The call for action also came from Love Islanders themselves; these were met by fans saying 'what else do they want, they've been on the greatest show and they're still not happy' rather than support. 
I personally wrote to Love Island production company after Sophie committed suicide and offered my help; I know a few other therapists at my City practice did as well. The answer? 'Support is not needed, they have all they need at present.' Mental health issues are a real struggle and support isn't great. Private therapy can be expensive; and as someone who had tried accessing mental health through GP, well, let's just say I was on the waiting list for a year.

So what can be done to make mental health help more accessible? To stop more people taking their own lives?

I present to you meals for the day #gout edition. I haven’t had a flare in a long time as I usually manage it with diet, medication, supplements and a lot of water. I ate too much protein and got dehydrated as the weather got warmer. I’m also profusely sweating from my allergy shots. So, up came this flare. That means I’ll be eating low purines the next few days. It’s common for this to happen to me once in a while during weight loss.—————————————————
Today’s Meals:

Meal one was eggs with veggies and corn tortillas. A banana as well. Meal 2 was a veggie sub with Swiss from subway. Meal 3 was both the bottom pics. Crackers with cheese, cliff builder bar and 0% Greek yogurt with berries and drizzle of honey. truth is, if i take some time...give it some space and just keep my mouth shut and heart open, it turns out all good. i have feelings. see that? feelings...plural. we experience more than one feeling at a time usually. so identify!

think it all through and then put your heart and soul into working it out. don't just "take it out"!

today i had the privilege of assisting as a volunteer to help with tornado damage debris cleanup. 
we arrived on location to find a home completely destroyed and spread around the lot it once sat on. it was as if a bomb went off inside the home, turning it to confetti.

we completely cleared the lot for the family, a mother and two daughters, who had no home insurance. we moved their once happy home, piece by piece to the roadside for removal. it was heartbreaking. made me remember that no matter how hard life may seem, it can always become harder.

taking time to help others in need is so good for the soul. we all know i need anything good i can find for mine.

make sure to get out there and help somebody in your community. even if it's a seemingly insignificant thing. do it. spread some love and compassion and fill yourself up while you do.

When we judge someone else we are, in actuality, revealing our own issues, weaknesses, pain, etc. What right do we have to scrutinize? We're all imperfect. We all struggle. We all make mistakes. Why do we feel the need to look down upon others? Because we're trying to hide our own insecurities. All in all, judging in any way, shape or form is a two way street of hurt. Hurting others outwardly while trying to mask our own hurt inwardly.

QUIT JUDGING!! There is only one who should be judging and that's God! It is our lot in life to help, listen and reach out a hand to those who have fallen. We each have that choice on what to feed our hearts and impart upon others. It is you alone who has the ability to choose love and acceptance or continue the vicious cycle of hate and hurt. Anyone else not a huge fan of going to multiple places to get the grocery items you want? 🙋🏼‍♀️ We trade one convenience for another in our modern life, right? Many of us have the luxury (depending on how you look at it) of driving a car all around town. But, then, you have to drive the car all around town. 😂🤷‍♀️

I often think of communities who are more foot-bound. What do their shopping areas look like? Do they walk miles and miles to get their produce from multiple sources? 🥬🥕🥭 There are still communities that have city-centers that provide the necessities for being nourished. Right? Tell me this still exists.

Okay, I’m done with my speculating. 😆 All that to say...I LOVE that I don’t have to go to 6 different stores or even websites to get my nontoxic products/supplements. And, I also LOVE that I can be confident that the products I’m getting are of the highest quality.
