🔁 Reverse Balayage • What to do when your client has solid white blonde hair with a harsh regrowth line? I personally take the same sections as my regular balayage but instead of painting the positive, I will lowlight the negative. I mix my lowlight to a liquid consistency(less “stick” less chance of lines IMO) I use my balayage board and paint the lowlight about halfway down the section and then use a wet brush to blend it through. This creates more dimension through the mid shaft and maintains brightness in the ends. I usually babylight the face to maintain the money piece and when that’s all done and cooked, I do a root melt to blur any remaining lines 🏻 Also, if my clients hair is a little toasted I prefer to do @trussprofessional Net Mask and Deluxe Primer first before I tone anything. The healthier the hair, the better it holds color. If your hair is damaged, expect your lowlights and root melt to fade faster. .
