Low frequencies are tricky to tame and how you manage them makes all the difference between men and boys when mix-time.
When I record BASSES I found that having a clean DI box, a dirtier one and an attitude AMP really helps.
With a clean DI box you can sculpt your bass sound to sit it where you want in the MIX.
Carefully choosing between AMPS you can give attitude and character to your sound.
As a plus, you get a TONE that will sound REAL in your production.
🌪️ Summing back a bit of your dirtier DI box, instead, you'll make your bass to CUT thru the MIX.
🛎️ But pay ATTENTION!
Remember to double check PHASE and POLARITY relation between your tracks or all you'll gain is a tiny weaky BASS SOUND!
