This was the winning catch. The Largest Catch of the day. Weighing at 3.51 kg or 7.74 lbs.
It’s been a week since the tournament and I’m still smiling every time I would remember this beast hooked up, fighting at the end of my line. I’ll be honest - the moment I saw the size of this from the boat, it was a mixture of excitement and fear. Excited that it was big, obviously, and I had potentially caught a contender. Afraid, that I would lose it, esp when it was approaching the boat, it was fighting for its life. It went under the boat and all over. I was literally shaking. Even until the fish made it onboard. All four of us on the boat were shouting and celebrating like we just won the championship. Just the thrill of landing this big one! I was overwhelmed. Until today. Until how long, I don’t know, but this will be in the books for sure. My first time to join the tournament full of vets, about 90 total participants, and this fish gave me my first win. Who wouldn’t be smiling? 🤙🏼 #whenyouleastexpectit #catchandrelease #bassfishing #bassph #largemouthbass - 23 days ago
