My obsession with Greek yogurt has been going down for probably over a year now: hence my username highlycultured_ (yogurt pun, I ain’t that boujee ) The concept of the gut-mind connection diversifying your gut microbiome is something that I think is getting more prevalent but doesn’t get nearly as much hype as it needs. The key to solid digestion (something I’ve struggled with for a long time) is getting as much bacteria and strains of bacteria in your gut and to help them flourish, and greek yogurt is one of the most well-known probiotics! Something this has also helped me is to eat seasonal produce, change up the types of foods I eat from week to week, and to eat high probiotic foods like yogurt, sauerkraut, miso, and sourdough - my go to bread 🥖
I love greek yogurt because of its versatility, it can be sweet or used in savory dishes as a sauce, etc.
