Our 5th Annual Garden to Table dinner went down last night. The one time a year I "play chef" for a special group of family and friends. The goal is to use as much produce from the garden as possible. We're very lucky to have some amazing local farms to use for meat, dairy, fruit, and eggs. Details are below. 1st Course: Heirloom tomato galette with asiago.
2nd Course: Sformato with Monterey Jack and @tranquillity_farms sweet corn, poblano pepper coulis.
3rd Course: Beet pasta carbonara, eggs from @paceitout and @hungusbrews.
Pallet cleanser: Moscow mule sorbet with @milkstreetdistillery vodka
4th Course: Duo: Braised @tranquillity_farms Osso Bucco and NJ Flounder en papillote with carrots.
5th Course: Baked Alaska, flambe-it-yourself, with almond sponge and roasted peach ice cream.
