The Summer has started in Dubai two days ago… As usual we get nostalgic of the previous season and we here have a specific fascination for cold white winters. At least I do!
Here is a house in Mühlviertel (Austria) on a top of a hill. Its name is Rundherum (all around in English). Newly worked from a previous solid construction, the additional space was built all around that core, made out of wood and glass. The saddle roof has been removed and some openings has been expanded or closed.
The interior is simple and warm, exactly what one needs during long Winter days. There are no closed room at all in the house only walls punctuating the inside layout.
The 154sqm residence has been designed by mia2/Architektur. The bathroom in the main bedroom gets a stunning panoramic view. Two dining areas and a terrace are also part of the house’s features.
The untreated wooden construction, black windows, and the dark varnished maritime pine are creating a clearly structured facade image and an unpretentious appearance as a pavilion in the landscape.
