One night my girls invited me out. I promised my husband I'd be home by midnight. Hours passed and margaritas went down way too easy. Around 3 AM (a bit loaded) I headed home. Just as I got in the cuckoo clock chimed 3 times. Afraid my hubby would wake I quickly cuckooed 9 more times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick witted solution. The next morning he asked what time I got in. I said "MIDNIGHT!" He seemed fine so I thought I'd gotten away with it. Then he said "We need a new cuckoo clock." When I asked why he said "Well, last night our clock cuckooed 3 times, said 'oh shit', cuckooed 4 times, cleared its throat, cuckooed 3 times again, giggled, cuckooed twice more, then tripped over the coffee table and farted." Walking through Grand Canyon National Park at 6am in the morning was the coldest I think I’ve ever been. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Standing at the lookout and seeing absolute blackness, having no idea what laid in the darkness... The Golden Hour! . My favourite time of the day to take the camera out is definitely that last hour before sunset. City's like San Francisco are beautiful enough but then add in the natural orange light and shadows.... INCREDIBLE! Makes my life editing photos so much easier when I can get shots like this one. FLASHBACK FRIDAY - One year ago today I was - like today! - in Malaysia. I don’t even need to look up the specifics, because I know exactly where I was. I spent the day climbing most of the way up Mount Kinabalu, before a very early morning the following day to be at the summit for sunrise. Feb has been a great month of trying new things! Been a little while since I’ve properly updated everyone on ma life.... sooooo here ‘tis! Since moving overseas 5 months ago (eeek has it really been that long?!) I have experienced lots of changes, but remarkably, most of them have felt very natural.. like who knew this city girl could become such a country bumpkin? 🏼‍🤣 . There’s a few things I am working on at the moment and thought I’d share some of things I am proudly achieving... After years of saying I’d pick up the guitar, I have finally started to learn properly! This is a huge accomplishment for me, and I have every intention of sticking to it! I have the calluses forming to prove it . I drive an automatic car at home, so I never bothered to learn manual.. but I’ve decided to force myself to learn it because it’s something I literally could never see myself doing but guys.. I am! I’m actually driving and NOT stalling the car... who even am I? 🤷🏼‍♀️ . 🧁Another new thing for me is that I have decided to try bakingI’ve never been good at baking and so I never went as far as cupcakes, however, this girl has been pushing the boundaries.. I tried hot cross buns (they were an almost-fail 🤣but they are hard to make!!) and discovered I have a talent for blueberry muffins.. watch this space! 🏼‍🤣 And finally....
