Part of being human means consistently analyzing and potentially over sharing. With that said, it’s about to get personal #storytime
A coach of mine nearly a decade ago grabbed the side of my abdomen, like his fingers were a set of calipers. He told me I was gaining body fat. He wasn’t wrong. I’d gained a small amount, about 2% over the season, but it put a thought in my head that I wasn’t capable of performing with extra #bodyfat . To some degree, there is truth that extra body fat can hinder #performance .
Everyday for the last decade, when I’ve woken up, I’ve pinched my side. I was scrolling through my phone and noticed all these videos. Sure, maybe if I had my #nutrition dialed in I would’ve been a better #athlete , but over the course of all these years, I’ve always enjoyed training. I enjoyed flipping myself through the air, climbing mountain tops and #lifting heavy weights. Yet, everyday I pinch myself and think back to him latching onto me.
Anyone that’s ever experienced something like this, it’s too easy to focus on negatives and pick yourself apart. I urge you to think of all the things you have done and accomplished in every area of life. - 58 minutes ago
