TENNIS ELBOW •
Tennis elbow is also known as lateral epicondylitis. There tends to be pain in the outer bony part of the elbow where the forearm extensors attach. Sometimes this is a result of tennis as the name suggests, but more often than not it is caused by other factors.
Treatment may involve massage, stretching and eccentric strengthening 🏼You can use a light dumbbell for strengthening or a flex bar. We also use Mulligans MWM techniques with great results. •
Task modification is important for management of tennis elbow. Often the way you pick things up contributes to your symptoms. For example, always lift bags with your palms facing up. That way you use the strong biceps, instead of the weaker forearm extensors 🏼 - 2 hours ago
