today wasn’t a bad day. today was simply a good, fun day. Nothing extravagant happened that was neither great or terrible. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a day like today. Except a few things... when things go exceptionally well, you want to keep that momentum going, continue to work hard, and usually thank those that helped make that exceptional thing occur. then there’s the other side...when you have a terrible day. The good thing about terrible days is that they make you more appreciative of the great ones and want to overcome whatever hardship that has put you down.
The bad part of having just “good” days is complacency. We can sometimes please ourselves with mediocrity. That’s when the good day is actually not the best day.
We can’t get caught up and become numb to days like this. We weren’t put on this earth to be mediocre and float through life. We were put here intentionally and we have to be intentional about what we do on a daily basis. •••••
Now I know that every single day is not going to be the best day ever. I understand that quite well. But we have to make the most of our 86,400 seconds we are given. We have to do something each day to serve, to better ourselves and our health, and to help a neighbor. That’s when an ordinary day goes from good to great! •••••
So, to go along with, “Do something good today.” I challenge you to do something GREAT somewhere between the time when you wake up in the morning and when your head hits the pillow tomorrow night.
Go to the gym, text you grandparents and tell them how much you love and appreciate them, do your homework ahead of time, take a friend to get some ice cream, help an elderly individual load up their groceries... do SOMETHING for someone else and do something for YOU! #justdosomething #anything #sharewithme #swipe - 2 hours ago
