We tend to stay for hours staring at screens. Here are a few exerices to regain posture and release any tension.
Reverse Prayer pose join your palms and keep the fingers pointing downwards. Turn the finger tips inward towards the spine and rotate until your palms are joined as you turn your fingertips upwards.
Stay in the position for around 25-30 seconds.
🐄 Cow face arms: Extend your left arm up toward the ceiling with your palm facing forward. Then, bend your left elbow and bring your left hand to your spine.
Extend your right arm to the side with your palm facing down. Internally rotate your arm so your palm faces behind you. Then, bend your right elbow and bring your right hand up the center of your back. If possible, hook the fingers of both hands.
If you are unable to hook your fingers, use a strap. Gradually walk your hands closer together as you gain flexibility. .
🏼Tricep Stretch: Raise your left arm straight overhead, then bend it so your left hand is on the middle of your upper back. Pull your left elbow gently toward your right side until you feel a stretch in your left triceps. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat on the other side.
♀️ Neck Stretch: Place one hand on your lower back, the other hand on the opposite side of your head.
Pull your head toward your shoulder, looking straight ahead, until you feel a stretch in your neck.
Hold for 30 sec, repeat on the other side.
Torso Twist: Sit up straight, Twist your torso toward the left, holding onto the back of the chair, for a spinal twist. Lengthen your spine on each inhale and twist on each exhale for five breaths. Repeat to the right side.
Wrist Flexion Stretch: Extend one arm forward in front of you at shoulder height or just below.
Keep your extended arm straight and with your opposite hand, press down on the top of your extended hand. Slowly bend your wrist down, so that your fingertips point toward the floor, until you feel a stretch on the top of your forearm and wrist.
Hold for 30 seconds, repeat on the other side.
