These islands are all about nature! Much nature in everything, and are doing everything for it!
Some airports are slow moving because of passport control, other because of baggage claim, but this one is slow because of queues to check if you are not carrying anything harmful to the nature ! A big fine in case you didn't report by yourself... no kidding about it!
The country is extremely calm, streets are usually empty, pace is slow, and of course much greenery and clean air !
I was wondering if New Zealand is the country, what is "Zealand"(the old one) hehehe.. I found out it is Dutch!
A funny fact I read is that New Zealand is made of new islands! They didn't exist all times! They are just made of relatively new volcanic eruptions.
There are few craters still present in and around cities, you will find them in cities like Auckland for instance. (Mount Eden where you will have great view of the city as well, and where you will see now-green craters). The kiwi bird, -this bird having its egg 75% of the size of its adult!!!- is the symbol of the country and is the only reason I could deduce why is the black colour their official. I think it is because the kiwi bird only comes at night !
The original inhabitants are called the Maru, and they have their Maru language still alive. They are ethnically close to original inhabitants of South America.
Auckland, the main city, has many mounts around it, and even inside it. These mounts offer a great view of the city, and it is worth saying that they are all volcanos!
New Zealand was the first country on Earth to give women the right to vote, it was a New Zealander who first climbed mount Everest, and for your surprise (as much as mine too) New Zealand won more Olympic gold medal per capita than any other nation!! #newzealand #pacific #auckland #airnewzealand #qantas #australia #traveling #travelling #happy #christchurch #trips #wellington #staralliance #volcano #island #islands #peaceful #peaceofmind #farm #green #lifestyle #joy #commonwealth #rugby #kiwi #black #kiwibird - 24 hours ago
