It’s been a while since I’ve done an update post so here it is!
For anyone who doesn’t know, I’m Emily! I started my fitness journey last May (2018). Since I’ve started o have lost 25lbs (175lbs-150lbs). I started following a lot of vloggers on YouTube who happened to have really healthy lifestyles. This and @blogilates hosting the #100squatchallenge motivated me to finally start focusing on getting stronger and healthy.
I do not pay for any kind of service right now, but I have taken advantage of free workouts offered by beachbody, blogilates, and Emi Wong. I have completed most of my journey with these at home workouts with a few gym sessions thrown in.
It was not a steady process, but filled with many ups and downs. My journey has taught me a lot about health and fitness as well as about myself.
I’m so grateful I started.
The hardest part for me is probably diet. I grew up on a junk food diet. I hardly ate fruit or veggies and pretty much only drank Dr. pepper. Cutting that out was hard, but it made a huge difference!
I feel so much better now that I properly hydrate my body and energize it with a nutritious diet and regular exercise. If there is one piece of advice I could give you, keep up the good work. Even if it’s just following someone who is focused on health and fitness, it could motivate you to get started yourself!
