For some reason I've got it into my head that the secret to winning at life is about a mixture of taking two steps forward and one step back, having a rethink, then doing that again. Often three times before success - third time's a charm, three's the magic number, etc. It's how I'd always run a project when I used to be a product manager too. ±
That then evolved into the trick to life growth being about feeling two thirds positive and one third negative. The negative is necessary, like taking a backwards step, like planets going retrograde, so we can rethink where we are, and best how to move forward.
Then that turned into drawings of yin yang and fibonacci style flower spirals. And I realised the link between them is about balance and growth. 2 parts forward, 1 part backwards. It's like a spring coil and propulsion effect. ±
Then I saw a pic of the flower of life overlaid on a yin yang. And I thought, I wonder what would happen if that multiplied like cells? Flipping and multiplying and forming the building blocks to life. So I had a play and here are some of the results. You can make practically any pattern out of these two combined with enough tinkering, as long as it's monochrome.
I've been following this two thirds positive ratio and not pushing back on letting some negative stuff into my life (i.e. no longer avoiding problems, and facing fears but making sure I'm mostly happy), and yep - healing and growth occurs way faster.
So yeah. I think that might be the meaning to life or something? Maybe, it'll do me anyhow ☯️+++= - 8 days ago
