My dad told me not to look so excited after I lace a trick. I know he was joking. His way of pointing out how happy it makes me and it shows. But it got me thinking... Is there ever a time where its truly best to withhold honest expression of emotion?
I say no. Not if you are transparent and honest with yourself. Although I think he's on to something. It's good to be in control of yourself. Most of our daily actions are unconscious. Like 80%. Through the course of the day we all feel happy, sad and everything in between. It's up to you to be honest with yourself and not act out of spite or with selfish intent. You can take your frown and turn it upside down, if you just try. #fakepeoplesuck
Kendama has helped me learn if I'm mindful of my emotions, act with intention, I can better balance my life... And my kendama.
Anyways, This is me trying to look cool after I slay a trick, the first time/try, with total control. Don't get used to it. Cool guys don't look at explosions.
