We are working with a relatively high frequency program,  to ensure great confidence in his movements. 
He hasn't competed for a while, so maintaining his energy and confidence whilst managing fatigue due to frequent high intensity or high volume work loads can be challenging considering the nature of his job. 
Because of the high frequency, some days we will drop the amount of sets. And sometimes just completely rest. 
High frequency and high volume has allowed us to really nail his technique across all 3 lifts. Next comp is 8 weeks away, we aren't trying to win, we are getting a good result, and then  building in it . 
Strength is a marathon.

Cut them high 😰 but 385 for a heavy triple didn’t completely wreck me. First time I’ve gotten my belt, wrist wraps, and squat shoes on in a while. Now I just need to lose enough weight to fit in my fucking knee sleeves. Planning on writing a program for myself for the first time ever. Well see how that plays out #powerlifting #squats #legday

It’s RPE 10 week #juggernautai supposed to deadlift today, but the bar was glued to the floor because of Monday’s squats.  So here’s Monday’s squats 🤷🏼‍♂️ 165kg/363.7pounds for 6 at RPE 10 for sure.  Pretty sure that is a rep PR too.  I stopped counting at 4 because I wasn’t sure I had 2 more; you can see in the 2nd video how happy I was when I figured out it was 6.  #18weeksout yeah buddy!! ▶️ Standing Lumbar Flexion. We’ve got some work to do!
⏩ Seated Lumbar Flexion. As you can see, he has a great hip hinge, but not a great amount of lumbar flexion.

A very huge session Tuesday night! Very rare footage of myself hitting an RPE 9.5 on the squat lol. Truly a tough session mentally because I don't do squats after deadlifts, usually it's the other way around lol but, will I switch back to conventional because that set was an RPE 8.5 🤔😂 find out in a months time for the next over reaching week! Lachie also reached an RPE Dan green on his deadlifts! 😍🔥

A very huge session Tuesday night! Very rare footage of myself hitting an RPE 9.5 on the squat lol. Truly a tough session mentally because I don't do squats after deadlifts, usually it's the other way around lol but, will I switch back to conventional because that set was an RPE 8.5 🤔 find out in a months time for the next over reaching week! MOTIVATION IS 💩. Without discipline, consistency and a plan, all the motivation in the world will get you know. Motivation is fickle. It can change if you’re having a bad day, if you’re feeling sore, if you didn’t get enough sleep, but discipline, you can’t beat that. All the motivational videos in the world will do absolutely nothing for you if you don’t find the discipline within yourself to get off your ass and get to work. Looking up to someone is great but always remember, no one got strong or built a great physique by watching Instagram videos of someone else training.

Do any other ladies out there NOT wear makeup to work sometimes? I can remember never leaving the house without makeup on because I was self conscious about my acne and the deep line I have across my forehead. But, ya know, WHO CARES. I mean it’s my face and the one I’ll have forever so I’m owning the naked face look. Plus, I feel like my lines are due to how much I smile and laugh so I’m okay with that 😌

O estudo de Kubo et al., (2019) comparou os efeitos do treinamento do agachamento com diferentes profundidades no volume dos músculos do membro inferior.
Dezessete homens foram divididos em um grupo que treinou agachamento completo (140° de flexão do joelho, n=8) e outro grupo que treinou meio agachamento (90° de flexão do joelho, n=9). Ambos os grupos completaram 10 semanas de treinamento (2x semana). A força do agachamento completo e do meio agachamento foram testadas em 1RM e os volumes musculares foram determinados por ressonância nuclear magnética.
Os resultados demonstraram que:
1. O agachamento completo foi superior em aumentar 1RM no agachamento completo e o volume do glúteo máximo e dos adutores do quadril.
2. Ambas as profundidades de agachamento causaram aumento similar de 1RM no agachamento parcial e no volume dos vastos.
3. Nenhuma das amplitudes causou aumento do volume do reto femoral e dos isquiotibiais.
Os autores concluíram que O AGACHAMENTO COMPLETO FOI MAIS EFETIVO PARA DESENVOLVER OS MÚSCULOS DO MEMBRO INFERIOR com exceção do reto femoral e dos isquiotibiais.

1 year ago today I made the choice to make this page and WOWW how much has changed in just this past year! I’ve gained so many amazing new things in my life. I’ve made new friends, got my personal training certification, started a new job, made both physical and mental gains, and have new memories I’m very grateful for. But this year hasn’t been without its struggles... I’ve lost people who meant a lot to me, had periods of low self esteem, and have struggled with figuring out what my path is. It’s so easy to think we will never get out of the rut we are in, but it’s important to look back a year or two ago and recognize all of the little victories you’ve made.  The bad times never last, especially when you focus on keeping a positive mindset 💕

Another high repetition low intensity movement great for overhead athletes and weight lifters is the external rotation with the sled. Who wants to stand around doing joint integrity exercises when we can enjoy the sunshine and strengthen the external rotator muscles. Also, get a quick tan and soak up the vitamin D while we are at it! 😎 So let's increase strength in our infraspinatus muscles, improve performance, and reduce the likely chance of a shoulder injury. Healthy shoulders, happy athletes! 💪

The goal of the first 3 sets is to use a lower percentage of your 1RM - so it remains controllable, allowing technical adjustments to be made mid-set yet still heavy enough to challenge the body

The goal of the final 3 sets is to increase the intensity whilst maintaining the technical improvements demonstrated in the first 3 lower intensity sets.

We will keep this method for the first accumulation phase of this training block- pushing the intensity of the final 3 sets when the body is feeling good

I am SO mad that my camera didnt catch my PR for conventional deadlifts. (265lbs ) in my head I was telling myself "youbshould check if its recording" and look wtf happens 🙄🙄 I tried doing it again but at that point my legs were like "NA SIS, WE DONE."

This was the only good workout I had all week (shitty week) & this happened  ughhhhhhhhgghhhhhhh.. oh well.. I know I did pull that deadlift , but I love sharing my journey .. sorry guys.. next week will be different 🤞
