Hoje mesmo sem um pingo de vontade de ir para academia (porque essa não é minha motivação ,apesar de gostar do treino resistido 🏋🏽‍♀️ mas o ambiente da academia não é minha alegria de treino🤓) mas não deixo minha saúde em segundo plano. Saúde é prioridade, então mesmo com a correria das aulas, sempre faço pelo menos 30’ de exercício físico por dia! Todos os dias? Sim todos os dias! 身体を作るのにはトレーニングだけではなく正しい食事がとても大切です。

See REST as a necessity not an objective.

Rest is important for productivity. It's good to take a rest when things become too routine or when you're feeling overwhelmed.

The key is not whether you rest or not, it's for how long. When you take short breaks make sure it's not for too long. Even when you go to sleep at night, don't sleep for too long. You don't need 8-10hours of sleep. Else you'll become a sleeper. All you need is 6hours of solid sleep. That's enough sleep even if you work long hours. You don't want to spend the whole date sleeping and neglect the other important tasks that you have to do.

If you rest for 6hours, you have 18hours to get work done. 2hours for nutrition. 10hours to commute to work. 1hour with friends or family. That leaves you with 5hours to do what you love to do, such as learning, gym, etc.

Runners, want an excellent exercise to help improve power in your stride? Try this lunge variation.
.
This move represents major personal progress. It activates the posterior oblique sling (lat -> trunk -> opposing glute). Development of the P.O.S. strengthens cross body patterns relating to gait.  Another wonderful benefit of this exercise is the potential to stabilize the sacroiliac joint, potentially preventing or alleviating back pain.

Movement Details.
.
✔️Shoulders are stacked on top of hips, fully extending grounded leg.
✔️Front foot is flexed. (I had to catch myself with this one!)This detail is important as a flexed foot drives stronger hip flexion and reciprocates contralateral hip extension/plantar flexion.

Glutes are responsible for hip extension - weakness here can trickle down the chain possibly leading to knee pain (oh snap!😮)

This single leg progression is fantastic once you have mastered basic balance. If you struggle with stability, regress this move by lifting the forward leg up on a box for support.

Chin ups- Back and biceps
- My New Years resolution was be able to do a chin up so I was working on my back and biceps. My lower body has always been much stronger than my upper body but I am working at trying to improve my upper body strength. My hubby captured me doing some chin ups and I recognise I still need to improve my form and I will start uncrossing my legs but like with everything it takes time and that’s ok. I’ve never seen video footage of myself doing them so it’s great to see my form and what I need to work on.

I have been doing: - Lat pull down
- Bent over row
- Assisted pull ups
- Negative training

What I’ve found though is that my body is really hurting the day afterwards, particularly shoulders and back. Not surprising as the movements are not my typical everyday actions. However my body will find it harder to adjust because of my hypermobility syndrome. I’ve always stayed away from impact exercises- even burpees would take their toll on my shoulders. So I’m trying to build impact exercises into my workouts to better temper my bones, muscles, and most significantly with HMS, connective tissue. Almost a month into #girlgains ... 🚀

Building lean muscle, naturally, is a SLOW process. Why? When you’re losing fat you visually SEE a lot more progress. You have less body fat covering your muscles, and you might see changes a lot faster 🤘🏽

Building muscle requires serious patience and consistency. Too often I see people take their fat loss/dieting phases/preps SO seriously, and then as soon as it’s time to bring calories up and enter a building phase - they disappear. They stop feeling as “motivated”, they start being more lenient with their nutrition/training, and they don’t live with intent 🤷🏽‍♀️

PLEASE DO NOT BE THIS PERSON. Why? Because those months where you weigh a bit more, are eating MORE, are STRONGER...those are the months that matter. Those meals, those lifting sessions, those days...they are literally BUILDING A BETTER YOU. Yes, I am holding some extra body fat right now...because I am intentionally eating more and trying to build muscle. And the next time I prep, it will show💯

As a female, it isn’t healthy or sustainable for me to be super lean year round. Now, I can still maintain a fit/healthy/athletic body...but I don’t have striated shoulders/visible abs/crazy veins year round. This is also ME...everyone is different 👌🏽

I like to measure progress on more than just my physical appearance, especially when I am focusing on building lean muscle. Performance, sleep, energy, mood, hunger levels, recovery, etc...all VERY important variables when it comes to making gains 💪🏾💪🏾

And kiddos - yo girl is feeling strong! I hip thrust 310 lbs for 2 sets of 6 the other day...strength gains for the win!🎉

It’s been officially about 4 hours since my last post, I edited the video while driving to get that post, then I worked on this IGTV version.

Road back to handstands! It’s been so long since I’ve been upside down and worked on some gymnasty core exercises. Progressive overload and conscious core/PF rehab postpartum has lead me to THIS even while having a grade 2 uterine prolapse. With some strong strategies in place and little to no POP symptoms, I’ve been able to keep challenging my core week by week little by little. This is a lot harder than it used to be but I’m excited to be able to be upside down again. If you asked me a few months ago if I thought I’d ever be able to do these again with POP, I’d probably of said no. Todays session 
More pause squats trying to get stronger in that bottom position😭😭😭.
Pause squats cannot be done lazy, you have to concentrate, every movement controlled and on purpose. Pull yourself down into as deep a squat as possible, pull the bar into the traps and drive the chest up into the bar holding the air in the lungs, focus on driving the chest up as you push out of the bottom position. Stay humble on the weights and focus on looking good not loading maximal weight and having shit form. 
On the Conditioning be smart with pacing, try not to break up any of the reps into more than one set. 
Move efficiently and dont rest more than 15secs between exercises. 
Finally simple ab work done right, this style of exercise is more than often done wrong, leaving people with nothing but a hyperextended sore back. 
Set up in a dish with the lower back flat and shoulders up, abs engaged and MAINTAIN THIS THROUGHOUT. Vaccum the abs and slowly lower the legs as far as possible without the core position changing then slowly lift the legs back to stat position. Keep toes pointed and legs straight throughout.

The Babinski’s sign is a reflex that we are born with and that should disappear by 24 to 36 months of age

Reflexes are responses that occur when the body receives a certain stimulus🧠

The normal response in an adult is the flexion of the big toe after the sole of the foot has been stroked

A positive response, (in an adult) is the extension ⬆️ of the big toe and fanning of the toes. This can also be followed by a flexion of the hip and knee.  A positive response can influence foot mechanics, as the motor system is unable to suppress extensor withdrawal. This leads to abnormal gait patterns, like walking on your toes, and can eventually lead to injury. .

✔️ Remember that your foot posture affects all of the joints above your ankle, so it is important to have this reflex in check!!! .
