We’re back to modern rosé with @levengoods_of_lancaster Rosé, which gets it pink hue from raspberries.
LoL Rosé throws off a pleasant and unexpected wild yeast aroma...not quite funk, but close enough to make you think of an orchard. Those raspberries blush in a bit of fruit at the very end. In between, not much to speak of. It’s thin, bubbly, and dry, going down quick and easy. This cider hides its almost 7% ABV well.
The difference between a heritage rosé like ANXO’s or West County’s--made with cider-friendly and -specific bittersweet and tannic apples--and one made with what we’d call eating apples comes into sharp focus here. The little bit of body comes from bubbles, not tannins. You feel the dryness as a lack of sweetness, rather than an interplay of acid and low residual sugar. These things aren’t bad. Just different. Some people dig a simple, straightforward glass of cider like this. At times, we certainly do.
If you’re looking for a quick, cold buzz on a slow, hot day, pull one of these out of the back of your fridge. #cider #hardcider #pickcider #cidervangelists #ciderculture #cidergram #ciderreview #drycider #pacider #paciderguild #papreferred #pennsylvania #lancaster #rose #rosecider #rosé #rosécider - 4 days ago
