Tyrann Mathieu, one of the most talented NFL prospects ever on the defensive side of the football. But before the stardom, adversity hit Tyrann in the mouth. In college, Tyrann was kicked off of the LSU Tigers squad for failed drug tests. Later in 2012, Tyrann was arrested after police found marijuana in his apartment. Tyrann remembers sitting in the jail cell and having thoughts about committing suicide. Tyrann remembers his cellmates encouraging him, telling him to not throw away his talent for drugs. Later, the Arizona Cardinals took a chance on Tyrann by selecting him 69th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. With a little help of his close friend Patrick Peterson, Tyrann was living his dream. His impact spoke for itself, as he was all over the field in his rookie year. But adversity has kept coming at Tyrann, as he has dealt with multiple devastating knee injuries that have shortened his season. Now, Tyrann is a big part of the Kansas City secondary, looking to bring a championship to Kansas City.
There are going to be times where you mess up, make a mistake that you shouldn’t have. But don’t ever lose sight of the end goal, if you want to be successful your actions have to speak louder than your words!
