To stand up for your beliefs within society often brings vast criticism and codemnation. Especially when those beliefs undermine what everyone has been led to believe their whole life, but it is important that we have set values, and support those values through conflict and threat of opposition. The thoughts of masses may not always be correct or just, they are merely just ideologies passed down from generations which parents and their children fail to question.
It is important that we can learn to think for ourselves, and fight for our beliefs of equality, to be understanding and to protect the marginalised, as well as encourage ourselves and others to act in a way that doesn't stray from those values, despite being judged and attacked by the poisoned minds of the unweary. Our values can help to strive for a better, more equal society, which is more kind and forgiving in its nature. Fighting for our beliefs against our misunderstood friends, arrogant family, corrupt governments and corporations will sometimes attract belittlement, anger, exclusion and even in some cases death. Despite these circumstances, it is important that we instill our just values within our actions, and also spread them to others in the most peaceful, yet effective way. Without this determined and fighting spirit, we become part of the unwilling and thus hide away from the poor actions of our companions. It is because of this, it is crucial that we must stand up for what is right even in the face of injustice, in order to deter and change the evil which governs parts of our being. Only then, will we strive towards a more loving, understanding and equitable society. - 9 days ago
