This is me 19 months #postpartum with bub number three.
I spent most of those months doing “foundational” #exercise like learning to breath well for proper #pelvicfloor and #transversusabdominis activation (most inner abdominal layer) and (re)connecting the stabilizing systems of my body, walking and doing gentle movement and release work.
Coming back to bigger, more vigorous workouts looks different for everyone, but one thing is for sure- we all need to spend some time connecting the dots before we add more colour!
In my #postpartumpilates classes ( #BabyBarre ) we spend the first half of the class building up those foundations for good movement and the second half, standing and integrating those foundations into some dancing and barre class type movement.
It’s fun, it’s safe, it’s for all levels of experience (lots of modifications!) and you can incorporate your baby as much or as little as you like (bring a carrier if you want to wear them!)
