LinkedIn is a fantastic tool for business. It’s exploding in popularity at the moment. There has been a shift on LinkedIn towards content, kind of like an early Facebook. Make the most of it while the reach is still insane because eventually they’ll take an algorithmic approach like Facebook did which will reduce the reach of the posts.

𝟏)) Add at least 5 good connections everyday. 3 of which fit your ideal customer profile and 2 influencers in your niche.
𝟐)) Engage with each person you sent a connection request. Start with an introduction in private message.
𝟑)) Formulate a list of people to engage with. Create a list of 30-50 people to engage with, break the list down into blocks of 5 people and interact with one block each day. Do some in the morning (10 mins or so) then follow up with replies in the evening (again 10 mins or so)
𝟒)) Share content of value. Remember the context of LinkedIn is business focused and base your content around that. Content has a long shelf life on LinkedIn.
𝟓)) Use LinkedIn’s built in article writing feature to blog natively within LinkedIn. To use the article features you have to be on a laptop/pc.
𝟔)) Search for hashtags relevant to your niche and engage with the posts that LinkedIn shows you. If a post is of value then add the person as a connection.
These tips are as simple as it gets but have enabled me to grow my LinkedIn connections massively and from it I’ve got a steady stream of work coming in too.
Do you use LinkedIn? If not, why? And if you do, what works for you and what doesn’t?
