Good Morning Beautiful One.
I want to be completely open and transparent with you.
In all my life, well from when I was little I was brought up by strong, incredible women, to believe in myself and my dreams and work hard with every God-given strength.
So I grew up working for things I wanted.
From doing chores in the house, as an act of service and love to my granny, mum, aunts, and sibling. Even the church got a bit of Anita's love.
Anyway, the gift of service became my anchor and my offering to God.
You see as a human being placed on this planet to bring forth change to other human beings lives; I had no vacancy for excuses.
Instead, I purposefully chose to make rooms available for resilience, perseverance, hope, love and gratitude.
Even when life shook me up like a tornado, I still held onto those amazing anchors that became my pillar to my existence.
As I strive daily as a single mumpreneur, to be calmly sane to my teenage daughter, I'm often in this constant battle with an unwanted tenant I served an eviction notice since I was a child.
This unwanted guest is EXCUSE.
Omg! Excuses have stollen so many, peoples happiness and have disabled many dreams.
As I write this, many people are thinking of an excuse or have made one, and inside themselves they feel okay.
I'm not saying that I don't make excuses, but I have carefully respected myself enough, to remove myself from certain situations that will warrant me making uncomfortable excuses that will have me feeling incredibly guilty.
So, when it comes to what brings me joy, I don't make excuses.
Just like a lie, you make up more lies to cover up existing lies.
The same goes for excuses.
When you start making excuses, you get comfortable with the excuse and make up more excuses to cover up the existing excuse, never ending the cycle.
You see, excuses will always be there for you, opportunity won’t.
If whatever you are doing is very important to you, excuse shouldn't be an option.
There's always a way, and everything is figure-out-able.
In life you have two key decisions. Get comfortable in your excuses, or get uncomfortable, learning from making progress - 1 hour ago
