Why Surgery Will Be The Best Thing To Happen To Me
This is gonna be a long one, so get your popcorn, or steak and rice, and read up.
Over the past several weeks, I have finally decided to take action on a pain that has been bothering me since I could remember.. My right hip has been an issue for me not only when I exercise, but daily functions like getting out of bed.
I thought it was just how it was. What I would live with everyday and kind of accepted that to be that, and moved along.
I have tried a multitude of things, including researching and implementing countless hours of information on what I thought was wrong with me.
Through some x rays and MRI’s, I have found that I have a partially torn hip labrum, amongst other bone issues within my right hip.
I have found that I will need surgery to repair the issues, and the rehab process is to be around 3-6 months.. Since finding out, I’ve had a wide range of emotions.
For anyone that knows me, it is obviously going to be tough not being able to workout for an extended amount of time.
What is really going to be challenging for me is not being able to be with my clients/friends/family that I have had the blessing of sharing everyday with for the past two years.
I take a great deal of pride in being there day after day, and the thought of even missing one day is not a real thing.
With those two things being said, this entire circumstance is still probably one of the best things that will ever happen to me.
Without this circumstance, I can be certain I would not have nearly as much knowledge as I do now on my professional field. I would not have spent those countless hours learning.
It is the cornerstone of what I believe in, and that is adversity is the best advantage a person can have.
I’m excited to get fixed up, excited to start the recovery process, and even more excited to come back stronger than ever.
If theres anything I can try and communicate from this, it would be take adversity and look at is as a challenge or opportunity, rather than something that can slow you down.
