One of the most common knee issues that we treat (especially in our female patients) is a condition called Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome. In fact, it is the most prevalent condition seen in sport medicine clinics. Patients will often describe pain in front, around or behind their kneecap that is made worse with prolonged sitting, squatting, kneeling or stair climbing. It is thought to be a result of a variety of factors: - malalignment of the lower extremity
- muscle imbalances
- decreased quadriceps strength
- hip muscle weakness
If you have been dealing with a recent or nagging knee issue, book in today to see how we can help.
