Todays session was 4 rounds of:
.
5 knees to elbows
10 slosh ball lunge jumps
15 box jumps
20 slosh ball step ups
25 mountain climbers
30 DB punches
100 skips
. 
Followed by 6 sets of 40 second sprints on the #versaclimber.
.
Doing any exercise with an uneven load such using a slosh ball makes it so much harder to stabilise.
.
Love throwing in a HIIT session where my efforts extend beyond 2 and a 1/2 minutes. This helps me to push my lactate threshold, training my body to work at a higher intensity for longer.

So GAMEPLAN for competing this summer(I am truly sorry my instagrams gonna be heavily bombarded with fitness content). Currently I’ve trying to gain as much weight as I can, I’m hoping to get up to around 190lbs by the end of March and begin prep early April. Being said that gives me 13 weeks to get as lean as I possibly can. It’s about time to start getting serious again🤷🏼‍♀️ June 29th I’m coming for ya #summershreddingclassic2019

This was the workout I did the other day so it’s broken down and you can see more what I was doing. I usually do 8-12 reps per arm or per set total 3-4 sets each exercise about 1 min rest each set sometimes 2 mins. Give some of them a try and let me know how you like it.Trying to do some more core and balance work toward the end starting to add weight to it.I will keep posting more of this stuff for you guys.

I recommend small frequent stretches and knowing the parts you are stretching so you don’t leave out muscle groups! Just to start do 10-30second holds for your legs and 3-5 sets. Aim to do active stretching and not just passive stretching (where you just hang in that position) to build strength in the new muscle length! This is a hamstring stretch which is the muscle group behind your thighs. Good for people who sit too much or squat too much 😂 PM me if you want a private stretch sesh x .

Some are truly jammed and need to be adjusted, distracted and unlocked before it can move well again. .

Other times, it's as simple as teaching, "hey, you can bend this way." .
.

And it miraculously opens up. .
.

I like this board because you can pull on the handles to give an extra resistance to bend the ankle and stretch the calves a lot more than just standing and doing these. .

Throw these in as a finisher at the end, a great move for building the hamstrings and the glutes. Key is to rack the bar in the low bar position on your rear delts, keep your core nice and tight and drive the hips back similar to the RDL. Drive back up through the heels on the way up to try and get the most glute activation and squeeze at the top.

#dEATs 1: tortillas de harina de almendras (tan caras pero que realmente valen la pena) + coliflor + coliflor de búfalo (salsa hecha de salsa picante, mantequilla y ajo en polvo) + aguacate 🥑 + anacardo vegano + espolvoreado de chile en polvo

Ingredientes:
- 1/2 cabeza de coliflor, picada en flósculos
- 2 cucharadas de mantequilla o mantequilla vegana
- 1/2 - 3/4 taza de salsa picante (dependiendo de lo caliente que te guste)
- 1 cucharada de ajo en polvo
- 2 puñados de col rizada
- 1/2 aguacate, cortado en trozos
- 2 tortillas (utilicé harina de almendras Siete)

We speak frequently about maintaining a neutral pelvic tilt.  We’ve shown you methods of finding your natural tilt.  Some people still struggle to visualize this one though- so here’s a new image to help you! .

You will find conflicting measurements for what EXACTLY constitutes neutral pelvis versus anterior or posterior.  In the image you will see the anterior tilt (arched back) as 13 degrees or more.  You will see neutral (slight curve) as 9-12 degrees.  Anything less than 9 degrees would be considered posterior (tucked under bum). .

You will also notice the cervical spinal curves are different in this image.  The ideal is a neutral cervical curve as well.  The photo on the left shows the forward head posture we so commonly see in this technology driven society.

People are meant to move in all different positions and ranges of motion.  So think of it like this… you have a car.  You drive it everywhere, in all different directions, at different speeds, etc.  But then you always bring it home to your garage.  Neutral is like your garage.  It’s ideal.  If you park it outside in bad weather sometimes or drive it like a pyscho once in a while it’s likely going to be fine.  If you do that every day you are very likely to eventually wreck it, get hail damage, etc.  The body is very similar.  So have fun and do things, but be AWARE of what you are doing and work on improving the way you are doing it. .

Had an AMAZING WORKOUT today!! Hit a PR of 275lbs for 8 reps on Hipthrust. Last time I P.Red for HipThrust was 305lbs! Then I hurt my lowerback during deadlift and stopped doing Barbell Hipthrust...or really any heavy compound movements for a while. Then I started using the Natilus Glute Drive religiously when they brought it to my gym and I PRed at 290lbs, so it definitely helped transfer some strength into barbell hipthrust!! It is sooo much harder doing traditional bb Hipthrust compared to the glute drive.

Circuit style training Choose 2-4 exercises to rotate through and strictly time your rest periods Rest for 30 seconds between exercises and 2 minutes between sets I literally bring a kitchen timer to the gym to keep myself on track because my phone is wayyy too distracting 🏼‍♀️ . I typically program 2 strength exercises and 1-2 plyo moves to get the ️ rate up during each set! I also designate 1 day to a full body HIIT session . Also... I drink at LEAST a gallon of water everyday! I started doing yoga in 2015 when my body started hurting from too much heavy lifting and not enough stretching. I’d still consider myself a beginner-start of intermediate level yogi, but the benefits I’ve received from it are unmatched.

My consistency with yoga has been off and on over the past couple years, but recently I’ve been consistently practicing just once per week for the past couple months. It’s been game changing in my workouts, but the mental and emotional benefits are even better in my opinion.
•
When I’m doing yoga consistently, in addition to obvious improved flexibility/decreased soreness, I notice a huge improvement in my ability to stay grounded, and I’m less anxious/ more energetic in my every day life. I truly believe it’s the true fountain of youth.

If you’ve never taken a yoga class, I highly recommend it and I challenge you to try it. EVERYONE can benefit from yoga. Most gyms have classes included with membership, and colleges usually offer them for free if you’re enrolled.

Here’s the second legs sample workout for the leg focused split. The goal is to be hitting our legs from all the area’s three times a week for some quick mass and strength. With this being the second leg workout in the series your legs might be a little tired or sore, so be smart with your training load. ————————————————
The first exercise is going to be where we will want to really focus on our strength and push ourselves on progressive overload. We’ll be doing sumo deadlifts rather than conventional as they target the quads a little more, and the whole point here is for some big wheels. After the heavy sets of deadlifts are done we’ll be moving on to more hypertrophy work.

Would have done a extra workout or two but was on a limited time crunch. Regardless though, this is by far the strongest I have been in the past 2 years. Its awesome to see progress, accomplish goals, and very on track.

Go after whatever it is that makes you happy. At the end of the day it's just you and yourself. Dont hit 60 or 70 years old and say I wish I had, just get after it now.

If you had told me the benefits I'd get from doing just 20 minutes of exercise a day, "reading" some audio books on my drive to work, and chatting DAILY with women who are doing the same thing... I wouldn't have believed you. 👭 If you had told me I'd be satisfied and driven by the EMOTIONAL and MENTAL shifts I'm having, I would have laughed. 🧠 While being healthy is the ultimate and most important goal, I want to look good in a bikini this summer just as much as the next girl. 👙 But GIRL! This journey is NOT about the physical transformation. I've been there before, done that before, and it is not nearly as powerful as the mental transformation that I'm experiencing now. I know my physical transformation will come with all of the changes I'm making, but I'm already a happierand healthier me even without it. And I 👏 want 👏 this 👏 for 👏 YOU 👏!!!
