As Deputy Director of USICH, Jasmine oversees the Policy Team and leads the Council's work across its 19 federal member agencies to prevent and end youth and family homelessness. Prior to USICH, Jasmine worked for over 15 years with local and state leaders to strengthen child welfare practices. She led the planning, policy, and quality improvement divisions, along with the Resource Development Office, for the District of Columbia’s child welfare agency, where she spearheaded the development of short-term housing resources and supports for child welfare-involved families, increased access to and resources for permanent housing, expanded community-based primary prevention programs, and was instrumental in launching the District’s Title IV-E waiver demonstration project.
