The Toronto Blue Jays bullpen has just imploded. Both Ryan Tepera and John Axford are injured and, thus, won't make it onto the major league roster, and now the Blue Jays are scrambling to find relievers in time for Opening Day -- which, mind you, is exactly a week away. However, it could work out; the Blue Jays have a few additional arms (Clay Buchholz, Clayton Richard) that could factor into their bullpen.

Sam Gaviglio is also one of those arms, since he's held his weight in spring training. He's appeared in six games -- only one start -- and given up only two earned runs over 14 innings. Gaviglio has only walked four batters and struck out a surprising 15. It's hard to see how the Blue Jays could say no to adding him in the bullpen, especially because of his performance.
This year's spring training has been rough for Vince Velasquez. In only two starts, he's pitched three innings with six runs allowed -- good for an 18.00 ERA. Granted, it's a tiny sample size, but last year, Velasquez still posted a 4.85 ERA in 146.2 innings.
