Yesterday, 4/20. I finally went to the Salamanca markets because it is Easter, 10th p would be closed this weekend. It is a massive array of very diverse businesses & foods & music. And from so many countries! It covered at least 3 streets. Jem sensei brought me around, & even though he had to rush off early, I found myself wandering through a sort of Narnia, each stall having its uniqueness added to the Salamanca vibe. It is a great place for spending money too. Money that’s hard to come by living the hustle. Lol. There were many buskers, & hustlers. I was just grateful to be soaking up the vibes.
I bagged a few little trinkets, some fresh veggies, & continued my spending spree, spontaneously stopping at local thrift stores. It’s something so easily overlooked, but I don’t have a can opener. It was $6 at the supermarket. I found one for a dollar at the thrift store. Hustled! Also, a crank fan, some warmer clothes, & a rosary.
Somehow, Moonah feels like home. I find myself in the area soon after. It’s just a quiet place, away from everyone else. I made a heaping pot of Chankonabe , eased into the night, & ended up doing yoga at 1am. Time plays no role in my life. Only when there is a responsibility to someone else.
I really love this freedom. Totally untethered. Life becomes clear. You brave the struggles of the day, & release them, to the silence of the night. Live becomes lovely.
That being said, I hope everyone is having a happy Easter! You, & your family! - 3 minutes ago
