Goals VS Dreams
Dreams are things we want to happen, that take time, effort, luck, whatever is needed. They’re long-term things that are generally out of our current reach.
Goals on the other hand are shorter term, attainable things. They are things we can work for that are do-able right now. They are the stepping stones to help us on our way to our dream.
Goals, in order to be successful, need to be within your current reach or at least very near it.
Goals also need to be realistic. Setting goals that cannot be easily achieved just sets you up for failure and discourages whatever you are working towards.
This was definitely a lesson I’ve learned over the past little while.
I have dreams and a vision of what I want to be and know I can be.
But given how I’ve slipped the last little while I needed to adjust my goals and just get myself a little bit closer to where I want to be instead of trying to just be there right away.
This week, I did just that. I set myself a small goal of doing 3 lifts and 3 cardio sessions, and I did just that!
It made me feel really good to achieve it, and now I’m fired up to do it again!
This week, I am committing to the same training, but also 3 consistent days with diet! (@tayorockson you got that??)
What’s your (achievable) goal for this week?? - 3 days ago
