Pregnancy and Exercise...
One thing I get asked ALL the time during pregnancy is, "So, are you still gonna do all those crazy workouts you do??" And being told, "Come on, you're pregnant. Take a BREAK!" #5monthspregnant and trying my best to stay active helps me in SO many ways, inside & out. .
Those comments always makes me giggle a little. Being pregnant, you obviously need to change your workouts, but being pregnant doesn't mean you are powerless! It is an amazing, beautiful, strong time of life, and your body CAN do it! Pregnancy is actually one of the best times to NOT take a break and let yourself go! Exercise doesn't mean vanity - exercise and activity during pregnancy is healthy and necessary! And amazing for that growing baby!
Because, 1. None of the workouts I do are the least bit "crazy." Are they hard? Sometimes. Are they intense? Sometimes? Fast-paced? Some programs. .
BUT, all of them are written and created by fitness trainers. Fitness trainers that actually know what they're doing, and will give you workouts that give RESULTS. I could spend each day writing my own workouts, and planning which body part to focus on, and taking a lot of time thinking and deciphering how intense I should make each workout, and walk into a gym, and execute the workout. And leave. And...repeat.
I've done that. And honestly, I dont miss the thought and planning at ALL. I turn on the program I'm following, get told every single move and rep, and can follow a modifier if I need to. .
2. I've seen some "crazy" workouts. And this ain't that. Obviously, during pregnancy, you always wanna listen to your body and be in tune with what feels good and what doesn't - whether it be jumps, heart rate, ab work, etc. But these programs are designed for ANYONE and EVERYONE, modification or not. .
