They say that as we get older, the roles between us and our parents slowly reverse. I find myself worrying all the time about the well-being of my mom. I know she's fully capable of doing just about anything on her own, but with everything you see on the news and the ingeniuity of some of these criminals, I can't help wanting to protect her all the time. I know that's virtually impossible, but I can try! I mentioned Friday that she was in a fender bender with her co-worker as they were on their way to a training class. Unfortunately, the driver of the other vehicle took his eyes off the road for a second, ran the red light, and T-boned their truck. This is why tonight I'm thankful for the PROPERTIES OF STEEL and the safety it provided for them to come out practically unharmed! Over the years, I've been involved in my share of vehicle scuffles, and thankfully walked away unscathed in all events, and even though they did their job to protect me and my passengers, they took their share of licks! Not that I don't feel safe in my vehicles, but every now and then I like to walk or ride my bicycle to where I'm going; Houston does have it's share of scenic landscapes! Well, that about covers tonight's thoughts, now back to this All Star Game! How bout those back to back homers by our hometown boys, #Bregman and #Springer ?! Good night everyone!
