The cutest dang puppy I've ever seen. And my year and a half old, 65 pounds of unconditional love and kisses is definitely still a puppy. The love we have for this beauty is unreal. #nationalpuppyday

Definitely not my current situation. Currently laying in bed enduring a freakishly swollen eye after a severe allergic reaction last night...oh what fun! But in other news, I've officially jumped on that #liketoknowit jam. First post with the all too addictive shopping app going down now 💁🏼‍♀️

Currently craving sh*t I can't have. I know it's taco Tuesday and all but these chorizo, shrimp, jack, and cotija quesadillas are a force to be reckoned with. {recipe link in bio}

Oh, how I've longed for this sunshine and warm air. We enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing beach day this weekend and man, was it some kind of magic on my mood.
Also been on the hunt for gluten free snacks lately that are actually *healthy* since unfortunately so many are highly processed and loaded with crap. @lesserevilsnacks are one of the exceptions and I am straight up obsessed with their Oh My Ghee organic air popped grass-fed ghee popcorn. And can we talk about how cute this packaging is?
Their dairy free paleo puffs are another addiction...if you love cheese puffs, you've gotta try 'em. #sponsored #LERoadTrip #lesserevil

In case you get sick of all the pi(e) and IG shut down posts today 🙃
Relish in this beauty, which I devoured with friends on Saturday and will forever be my most favorite seafood dish in LA.

#ThisIsEndometriosis
Everyone's story is different. This is mine.
•
I don't have the surgery scars on my stomach to prove it and I don't have any photos from the numerous times when I've endured an extremely swollen, painful, and pregnant looking stomach either. I don't know what stage I have (though I could venture a guess). And I don't even know every area in my body where this chronic disease has implanted tissue and cysts.
•
But what I do know, is I have Endometriosis. I know that it's on one ovary and probably on other organs too. I know that I've been living with it for at least 16 years and that I should've been more proactive about investigating it long before now.
•
I know that it's this gnarly disease that most likely took away our first shot of pregnancy over a year ago - just two weeks after this photo was taken, when I was obliviously enjoying a giant latte with my friend. And it's also this disease that has prevented us from getting pregnant before that one time and also, ever since.
•
I know now many things about managing Endometriosis that I didn't know even a year ago. I know that caffeine, red meat, refined sugar, and gluten all exacerbate the condition. So I've cut out all 4, even coffee - which was quite the feat.
•
I am 1 out of 10 women with endometriosis. There's no cure and there's very little research on it either. It's considered a "silent" disease as not all women have symptoms but for those who do (like me) it can mean intolerable pain, severe bloating, periodic weight gain, and of course, infertility.
•
I was in denial about even having the disease pretty much up until last Fall because I had been loosely diagnosed with it at just 18 and per my doctor's orders, got on birth control indefinitely to diminish the symptoms.
•
Flash forward 10 years later when I finally got off BC and the horrific cramps returned. I had honestly forgotten about Endometriosis and wrote off the pain as a result of not enough exercise and/or poor diet the week prior.
•
Until my fertility doctor examined me with an ultrasound for the very first time last fall and said without a doubt, the cysts on my right ovary were endo.

Daydreaming about sunshine and turquoise skies because LA is tempting me to move to the desert with all this lousy weather lately. Who's with me?!

Big week ahead has me feeling all like 🙍🏼‍♀️
Counting down the clock till IVF begins (next month!!) but in just a few days, we'll be getting all of our (many) questions answered by our overseeing doctor and also, I'll be starting with an esteemed fertility acupuncturist, who's supposedly a miracle worker 🙏🏻
•
So bring on allllll the good juju. While already overwhelmed, I'm feeling very ready and very confident to begin this crazy process that will hopefully give us what we've been waiting 2 years for...just in a totally different way than we would've ever imagined it happening. Freaking science, guys. It's incredible.

Valentine's Day is overrated. But you know what's not overrated? This beauty's 33rd birthday after she just kicked breast cancer's ass last year. Happy Birthday to the undeniably gorgeous, kind, wise, funny, and warrior strong, @marnieberryman. This year will no doubt be like 1,000x better than last 💪🏻
P.S. Her GoFundMe link is in my bio just in case the mood strikes you on this loving and giving holiday ❤️

Can it just be my birthday all month long? #anyexcusetoparty
These cara cara and blood orange gin spritzers {with thyme simple syrup} just may have been transferred into roadie cups and consumed in a 45-minute Uber ride on Saturday. Shhh 🤫

I'll always have my cake and eat it too, damn it. Currently in a bikini soaking up the desert sun, and only semi regretting the globs of strawberry cake batter and strawberry buttercream icing I devoured while making my birthday cake on Saturday. Oops. Also regretting not getting a shot of the decadent triple layer slices that came from it.
•
P.S. I impressed myself with this beauty...modified a traditional vanilla cake recipe by using freeze dried strawberries (blended into a powder) for the icing and a puréed and reduced fresh strawberry compote for the cake. It was 👌🏻🍓
