How many deer do you see?
I was looking through some trail cam pictures from last deer season and came across these. I hunted this piece of land hard that year being one of the only pieces of private land I could hunt. You can actually see the posted sign in the back that marks the property line. It’s a small piece of land but I took what I could get because beggars can’t be choosers. What’s funny is I didn’t get a chance to shoot a deer all season. I only saw one on that property the entire season. These deer are within 15 yards of my blind right now in this picture. Too bad they couldn’t do that WHILE IT WAS ACTUALLY DEER SEASON!!! It’s like they know. - 22 hours ago
Sunsets and gun dogs.
It’s wonderful down here in Florida. It’s February and I don’t have to worry about going outside and freezing my butt off. It’s nice to be able and train my dog outside wearing shorts and a tee shirt. Sorry to all my fellow friends in cold dark places right now up north or where ever that white stuff that comes down from the sky.
If Deacon and I keep up the same training speed that we are at right now we should be all set for this coming duck season. It is so rewarding watching him improve as time progresses. If you have ever trained a retriever you will know what I am talking about. - 9 days ago
Ok so here’s the update everyone! I’ve officially moved to the great state of Florida! It is wonderful down here and I cannot wait to get to know the area and scout out all the great hunting spots. Deer season is over and next up is these here fellas. I can’t wait for early mornings and strutting gobblers. I’m lucky enough to live in the only state in the world that allows you to hunt Osceola turkeys which also happens to be the earliest turkey season I am aware of! So to show my excitement of spring here is a little #flashbackfriday to the beautiful Eastern bird I harvested on the last day of turkey season last year! He is the biggest bird I have ever harvested and to make it even better I harvested him with my bow! By no means an easy task! An even better achievement is we pulled this hunt off with six people! The hunt is available on @officialb3outdoors YouTube channel. I’m ready to chase some long beards! Here comes turkey season 2019!!! WOOHOO! - 13 days ago
For those of you who don’t know I haven’t been very active lately. I also haven’t drawn in a while or have had a chance to. So to get back in the swing of things I figured the Super bowl would be a perfect way. I lived in New England for a while but never did like the Patriots lol. Let’s go Rams! Who you got? - 18 days ago
Long walks in the woods bring out the best in all of us. Especially Deacon. Just wait til we are on our way to a marsh, shotgun in hand, decoys over my shoulder and the smell of duck season in the air. Just wait. - 2 months ago
Never too early to think about spring... cause if you’re a turkey hunter you are already reminiscing about past hunts and what’s going to come this spring! Needless to say... I’M EXCITED!!! When does your turkey season start? - 2 months ago
Deacon has officially been with us for a week and has already grown a ton! It’s crazy how much they grow in such a short amount of time! If you didn’t know already I’m posting a picture of him everyday on my story and adding it to a highlight reel on my page; named “Deacon”. This is for my own record/data and the enjoyment of watching Deacon grow up. (Plus who doesn’t like looking at puppies?!?! Lol). Feel free to take a gander at it and watch Deacon grow up into a fine #gundog .
He’s impressed me within just the first week we’ve had him. He is already sleeping all the way through the night. He’s only used the bathroom in the house a few times! He’s already coming when his name is called! And he is so quiet! He’s not even that hyper even when he’s rowdy! He’s very observant and calm. So happy with him! - 2 months ago
Welcome to the family Deacon! Little do you know about all the memories we’ll make together. Can’t wait to watch what’s in store for you and me bud. But until then, stay a pup and don’t grow up so fast. - 2 months ago
