This is the HARDEST post I’ve ever had to do.
Unfortunately, this is not a happy post but one letting you know that we lost our sweet girl Mylee May yesterday afternoon. She received her beautiful angel wings and crossed over.
She wasn't feeling good yesterday and wasn't moving or eating, I had to bring the water to her just for her to get some. She threw up and couldn't get comfy. This morning she couldn't walk and didn't eat again.
We took her in to the vet and they did an ultrasound and blood work, which came back not good. Her white blood cells where elevated & she was anemic. She had a rapid heartbeat of 180 along with a whole abdomen full of blood showing a mass on her spleen that had ruptured which caused the internal bleeding. It was her cancerous tumor that came back and it was 5cm and ruptured!
Our veterinarian said to go straight to the specialty hospital so we did. They did more blood work and ultrasounds. Which confirmed what the vet said. After all that the dr told us she had 1-3 months to live!
Shocking to say the least. If we removed the spleen she would only have 6 months to live & that's with chemo BUT they said there’s only a 70% chance and that’s with everything going well.
You could tell she was in so much pain. We made the difficult choice to let her cross over the rainbow ️
She went calmly and so peacefully 🏼🏼 we had her blanket with her, playing her favorite calming zen music that she loved, with the 4 of us surrounding her telling her just how much we loved her and thanked her for loving us so much️
I'm beyond devastated, and feel the worst sense of loneliness. I feel like my heart is broke I never would have thought this would have happened to you and so fast.
Mylee thank you for loving us so much! You’ve left the biggest paw print on our hearts. We will see you again someday!
I’ll miss the nails tapping on the floor, or every time I turn on the hose your not there to drink from it, or when I drive through the Starbucks you know your getting a puppacino, or laying with me when I’m not feeling well, or you helping dad BBQ. I’ll miss when you help open presents and the cute way you’d itch your butt on the - 9 hours ago
