It looks like the whole Jussie Smollett attack may be an elaborate hoax. If this is true then shame on him. Staging an incident like this to further your career and garner attention is disgusting. In my opinion he should be swiftly and harshly punished to the full extent of the law. Behavior like this shouldn’t be tolerated and a precedent should be set. The worse thing about this is the disrespect and potential harm to people of the LGBTQ community and the black community who have had to fight back against real racism and bigotry. This also extends to anyone who has been a victim of anything and has had to go to the police for help. I also sincerely hope stunts like this don’t work to discredit real victims in the future. If these allegations prove to be true he also owes everyone who defended him or prayed for him a massive apology. He preyed upon people’s good nature for personal gain and that’s despicable. I’m not embarrassed nor do I regret defending him initially. I’ll always defend or support anyone who has been the victim of a real crime. As a former police officer that was my sworn duty for a number of years. Really no one should be embarrassed to defend any person who is victimized. We should believe people who claim they’ve been the victims of crime and try our best to help. At the same time, as a former police officer, I believe that people who make false reports, willfully waste police resources, and make things difficult for future victims should be nailed to the wall. People who do that are among the lowest of the low. False allegations can ruin a lot of people’s lives and undermine the integrity of the justice system. I’m not sure about all of the facts here and they are slowly coming to light but if this is truly a hoax I hope anyone who is in the wrong or had anything to do with this gets what’s coming to them in a big way...

Sunday Sermon: Denial is the worst kind of lie. It's a lie that robs us of personal growth and ensures that we cannot use our life experiences to build a better future. In life we experience many instances where things don't go our way. When these defeating moments happen we have two options: we can accept responsibility for our failures, learn from them, and evolve into a better person OR we can live in a state of denial where we never truly accept responsibility or we blame other people or "circumstances" rather than look in the mirror in the fix what's wrong. The next time you're in a situation where things don't go your way rather than offering up excuses or refusing to accept your fair share of the blame, try taking a good, hard, long look in the mirror and really examine what went wrong and what you could have done to prevent it. Remember, nothing just happens to you. We are in full control of our life's outcome. #thechurchofbobbymaximus #thebookofbobbymaximus

I also did a bunch of Straight Leg Deadlifts and listened to some “Slow Jamz” on my @spotify playlist. Maybe tonight If I’m lucky I can get in an extra cardio session with @lismaximus... #deadliftsandslowjamz #valentinesedition

This workout was instrumental to my personal #transformation. It comes right outta the #MaximusBody book by @bobbymaximus and is guaranteed to change your life.

It did mine 💪

Pick a weight you can do for 10 reps. (Use 2 barbells: one for bench, and one for the overhead press and bent rows.) Do 10 bench, 10 pullups, 10 OHP, 10 Rows... Then 9 bench, 9 pullups, 9 OHP, 9 rows... Then 8, 8, 8, 8... 7, 7, 7, 7... All the way down to 1, 1, 1, 1. 
Finish as quickly as you can without sacrificing form. When you can finish in under 20 min it's time to increase the weight. 
Continue to train this by beating previous times and adding weight when you break the 20 min mark.

It’s an absolutely incredible feeling to walk into @barnesandnoble and see these two books side by side. I never thought in my wildest dreams that one day my very own book would end up on the same shelf as the @schwarzenegger bible. I may not be the Captain yet but damn at least I’m on the boat.
