YOUTUBE LINK IN MY BIO!!! This is a cool acoustic bass. The acoustic tone and volume are pretty good, and the amplified tone is classic, as you can hear. The lower notes buzz a bit (G flat and F, I’d say), but that’s almost expected I’d say. I thought I should demo this by playing some iconic “unplugged” versions of famous songs. Here’s what I came up with: 1. Come as you are, by Nirvana 2. Zombie, by The Cranberries 3. Late in the Evening, by Paul Simon ...plus a "recap" video, for A/B/C comparison. MG Bass Desert Custom I’ve only ever seen Brazilian builders / luthiers use this technique of fingerboard inlaying... Looks pretty awesome to me!!!... Mauricio Costa from MG Bass (@mgbass_oficial ) is in fact from Brazil... He operates in the US, though (in Manchester, New Hampshire), so he uses both Brazilian and American woods... Guild (& Alembic) Big Brown (Phil Lesh) Built by Guild (it’s actually born as a StarFire II) and customised by Alembic (to include quadraphonic pickups, allowing the signal of each string to be sent to separate outputs, and active preamp circuits), for the one and only Phil Lesh... Now, I’m not a fan of having many buttons and knobs on my bass... Volume and tone is great, volume tone and pan is optimal, anything more than that is pushing it... That’s just me... ...
