Uncle Dangote got a 3-year tax relief for the construction of the 35km Apapa-Oworonshoki road. When you consider the fact that the allocation for capital expenditure in the annual budget is at 25%, with our decaying infrastructure, the road to glory is a crawl. In a sense, tax-for-road deal is a clear example of how we can use tax incentive to create an enable environment for many other sectors. We can move this for the executive order or policy into a legislative framework, so it can become a law and can outlive the government in power.

A thriving SME sector is the unarguably the engine room for economic growth and job creation. Part of the bills I am proposing is the Matching Capital Bill. This bill hopes to create a framework for SMES/startups within their first three years to access a collateral-free, single-digit-interest rate capital from banks. They would need to have a good credit history, stable cash flow and can raise 50% of the needed capital. The bill will recommend that banks who match capital funds to the tune of at least 1% of their annual profit is entitled to make claims on the remission of income tax obligation. Tax system is simply about redistribution of wealth and we need to explore this channel to fund development.
In this bill, everyone wins. The SMEs will grow with capital and create more jobs. The banks will enjoy tax waiver and reductions. The government will gain a new generation of tax paying entrepreneurs and expand the 5% of people within the tax bracket.

I would like to thank you for the immense support you have shown me on this journey to the polls. We have come a long way from our first ANN community engagement last year, to the overwhelming response from the BBC Debate last week. Yet, we still have more grounds to cover.

On Feb 16, we decide where we go as a country. This is an opportunity to rewrite the future and we cannot make choices in this election as we have in previous ones. As our youth roam the streets in search of non-existent jobs, and more children die from avoidable deaths, we must take our part to play more seriously.

I, Ferdy Ladi Adimefe, running under ANN for the Federal House of Representatives, seek your votes to serve the Eti-Osa constituency of Lagos State. I believe that I possess the right mix of competence, character, influence and capacity to represent you best.

I have invested over a decade in policy research and formulation, youth and community development. I was selected as one of the Ford Foundation Fifty to draw up a blueprint for Nigeria for the next 50 years in 2009.
My deep passion for the development of human capacity in Africa inspired me to start the Conversations for Change - a forum for private sector shaping conversations and the Creative Nigeria Project - a vehicle for empowering youths in the creative sector. This has been accompanied by other portals for community service and engagement such as The Slum 2 School Africa initiative, where I sit as a board member, as well as the Avante-Garde Interface Foundation.

I also serve on the Nigerian Economic Summit Group committee on Innovation and Technology discourses for Nigeria. I am a recipient of several awards and recognitions such as the "Nigeria's Future 100" by the president of the federal republic of Nigeria himself.
A naturally gifted communicator, I have authored two books - You Can Do Better (2006), and Pulse (2011), and have contributed countless papers and articles in local and international publications.

I have built three successful businesses in the last couple of years, with one recognized recently by Businessday as one of the 100 fast-growing SMEs in Nigeria (2018).

There is a wall of difference, a godfather uses you as a stool and in threatened by your rise, mentor put you on their shoulders, applaude your rise and scold you when you err.

In the field of politics, we cannot always escape the godfather reality, but it is exactly why we are not gettinh ahead. Whenever the interest of an individual supersedes the interest of an entire people we have failed democracy. BREAKING NEWS!

The political landscape of Nigeria is beginning to get the much desired clarity with few weeks to the general elections thereby giving all patriotic stakeholders the opportunity to take informed decisions that will herald a political direction different from the status quo.
Nigeria is in dire need of a paradigm shift and this cannot happen by wishful thinking but through conscious efforts by selfless Nigerians to disrupt the system in order to end the combined 19 years of inept leadership of the PDP and APC, which no doubt has kept us in this present socio-economic and political shackles with no solution in sight anytime soon.

Only those benefiting from the current dysfunctional system will be satisfied with the state of our nation as virtually all economic indices seem to be on a downward spiral with high rate of inflation, unemployment, poverty, insecurity are the resultant effects on the psyche and living standards of Nigerians.

It is in a bid to end the aforementioned trend and change the current narrative that the joint leadership of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) and Young Progressives Party (YPP) after painstaking deliberation, decided in the interest of the nation to forge a formidable coalition known as "The Force" in order to help salvage our great country from those who have held it hostage for far too long.

The Force is expected to be a political point of convergence for all those who truly desire to take back Nigeria from the establishment and birth A NEW NIGERIA.
While we understand the enormity of the task ahead considering that our failed leaders will not let go without a fight, our conviction is however anchored on the strength of the over 88 million Nigerians living below the poverty mark of $1.90 per day to decide the fate of our oppressors through their votes.

Watch out for further details!

The 2019 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN officially kicks off TOMORROW (Sunday, 18th November 2018). As I have often said before, this is no ordinary election ... this is a choice between POLITICIANS that have given us the country we are tired of today & NATION BUILDERS that will lead us in building the New Nigeria we all want to live in and be proud of.
Politicians will TELL you what they would do when they get into office, while nation builders will SHOW you what they will do before they get into office.
We are NOT politicians ... WE ARE NATION BUILDERS and we intend to run our campaign differently from the usual way politicians do things.

While politicians rent large crowds to give the illusion of a large following, our campaign will be focused on SOCIAL IMPACT & making a difference in the lives of people all across the country.

So to kick off our campaign, tomorrow, we’ll be feeding & clothing over 500 children of low income families in Ajegunle in Lagos.
If you’d like to join us tomorrow on the campaign in making a difference, you can join the Fela Durotoye Campaign Bus at the take off point at Iyana Oworo Bustop by 12noon.

Our destination is 31, Bale Street, Boundary, Ajegunle-Apapa, Lagos Nigeria.

If you have fairly used children's clothes please bring them along as well.

For further enquiries, please call: 08096696693

See you tomorrow.

Fela DUROTOYE
Presidential Candidate
