Have you ever thought to yourself…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Ugh I just don’t have time today.” ???
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I bet you have, because at one point or another, we all have.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The thing is though, I wasn’t able to overcome it until I switched my perspective to realize that this sentence just meant my priorities were whack.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Everyone has time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have a client who is a Mom of 4, in her 40’s, runs a business, and still commits time to lift 5x per week and meal preps for her entire family like a BOSS.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had another client who was a mom of TWO sets of twins under the age of 4. She would wake up early before her house woke up to get her workout in.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Could these two clients have easily said, “Ugh I just don’t have time today.”?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Absoulutely. But they chose to see the short half hour in the morning, or the hour lunch break as opportunities, instead of seeing no way out.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I challenge you to look for the opportunity today. Whether you workout for 10 minutes, or 60, you can make the time. Whether you choose to meal prep on a Sunday night to save you time during the week, or opt for the healthiest thing on the menu at that work lunch, YOU CAN MAKE THE TIME.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Keep your priorities in check my friends. Your goals will thank you✨💛 #evolveyourperspective

1 1/4 Squats have my glutes on 🔥🔥today 👌🏻
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lifting heavy is nothing to be fearful of.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I spent so long chasing cardio hoping that it would transform my body into a more “toned” shape.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But it wasn’t until I started lifting...HEAVY that my body changed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the flip side, my sessions are no where near as long or intense as they used to be when I was competing in powerlifting, but I’m finally at a place where I can thrive. My body FEELS good after each session, and I don’t want to lie on the floor ready to die.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your training should make you feel better, not worse. It should FIT your personal schedule and routine. It should be enough volume to allow you to progress but not TOO much volume (because that’s just as detrimental as not doing enough).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Reflection: Is your training serving you as best as it can? Do you enjoy it? Are you progressing? If not, where is the issue?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What diet should you do?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Keto? Paleo? Plant-based? Low-carb?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s the best?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The truth is you guys, there is no “best” diet. There is, however, a best diet for YOU.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s how you can gauge if a diet is going to be successful:
* It’s something you can easily incorporate into your lifestyle
* It’s something you can see yourself doing long-term
* It doesn’t make you absolutely miserable
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m not sure if you realize this yet, but dieting doesn’t have to suck.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You don’t have to kiss carbs goodbye. Cheese lover? Eat yo cheese woman. Like ice cream like me? Not a problem.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Many fad diets out there DO unfortunately make you slash out these things, but I personally believe in EVERYTHING in moderation (unless you have a food allergy of course).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you had success with #flexibledieting? I would LOVE for you to comment below and share your story with me. Let’s show those who still are unsure how many successful outcomes a flexible lifestyle can bring!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My body and the hundreds of clients @joshscutnik and I have worked with are living proof that there’s no need for restriction or extremes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The way I see it, life is freaking short. Why waste it being miserable when instead, you can educate yourself on proper nutrition, eat the foods that YOU enjoy and come out on top chasing those goals? ✨💛

Let’s talk #relationshipgoals
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You probably see some of our photos or someone else’s here on Instagram and think that they have it all. It’s easy to see a perfectly curated photo and compare it to your life. You immediately start dreaming about what your life would be like if you had a relationship like that, or a house like that, or an outfit like that, yet moments ago, you were perfectly happy with what you already have.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The thing is, these pictures are curated. We all love posting our best moments, and why shouldn’t we?! But as two people who share their life on multiple social media platforms, we try to show the not so good too.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We fight. We scream at each other. There’s tears. There’s hours where we don’t speak. Sometimes it’s over dirty dishes left in the sink, sometimes it’s bigger than that. But just like the good happy moments, those are part of our relationship, and even though it sucks in the moment, it’s those stupid fights that make us come out better on the other side…better together.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To us, #relationshipgoals is showing you the not so good too. It’s sharing that we aren’t a perfect happy couple 24/7. There’s no such thing. Humans are messy. Humans are complicated. Perfect Instagram feeds are not real life and they’re not our life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
#Relationshipgoals is using an argument to build your bond. It’s showing the other person that there’s more than one right way. It’s being open to shifting how you know and view the world. It’s choosing each other day in and day out- despite the fact that the laundry you washed last week is still chilling on the floor. ❤️

If it’s not a heck yes, it’s a NO.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I heard this on a podcast (maybe @bucciradio ? can’t remember!) and it’s officially tatted on my brain.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This applies to EVERYTHING in my life currently.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My decisions when it comes to social events, food choices, cleaning out my closet, what clients we take on…you name it, this quote applies.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you struggle with making decisions of any kind, I encourage you to use this mantra and use it often. If I’m not screaming HECK YES when it comes to a decision you made, then let it fly and realize that it’s just not for you, and that’s ok✨💛 #evolveyourperspective

The difference between these photos is today, I can say with 100% certainty that I am truly happy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I remember when having abs was my main fitness goal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I put all of my eggs in that basket. Not a single thing mattered to me other than that and I would do “ab checks” multiple times per day (pretty much every time I went to the bathroom).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m not ashamed to admit that now, because I know many of you strive for the same goals. And I’m actually not going to tell you it’s WRONG to want abs, but I am going to tell you that having them should not be your main or only focus.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Why?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because abs won’t make you happy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know that sounds fake, but as someone who’s had abs and achieved that sought-after “lean bean” physique, I can promise you that your happiness cup will not fill up even one ounce when you get abs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re not happy with where your body is at right in this very moment, if you’re not celebrating the freaking AMAZING things your body can do on daily basis for you, then girlfriend, you’re not going to be happy when you get those abs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Happiness must come from within and from the journey. If you’re miserable trying to diet down to a low level of body fat, then you’re likely going to be just as miserable when you finally see a shred of an ab.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do me a favor today, and place your worth in something OTHER than how your body appears. Again, there’s not a single thing wrong with wanting to change your body or having some physique goals, but come up with some non-physique related goals too and embrace this part of the journey that you’re on. You can choose to be happy with where you are, while working towards what you desire 💛✨ #evolveyourperspective #heretoevolve ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My ride or die 💛
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last year at this time, I was still at my full time job + Josh was still working with his Dad, leaving @sd_evolution as our side hustle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here we are a year later, working for ourselves full-time...together.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most days are long, of course there’s stress, and not really ever such a thing as a day off, but I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for this freedom to do what I love WITH the guy I love.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In my post earlier today I said life is too damn short to be miserable dieting, and life is also way too damn short to be miserable in your job, or in your life in general. 💛 #evolveyourperspective

You can’t out-train a crappy diet.🤷🏻‍♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My main method of training used to be running. I ran anywhere from 40-60 miles per week. (swipe for a little throwback!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At that time, I also ate and drank whatever I wanted, primarily carbs because: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
* That was my fuel for my runs
* I ran 8 miles that day, so I “deserved” it
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you ever told yourself you deserved that pasta, donut, cookie or other seemingly “bad” food item because you worked out hard that day?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
GIRL, that might be my favorite lesson that I was able to overcome.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You don’t need to earn your calories.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You don’t need to run 20 miles to eat a donut.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You certainly don’t need to burn X-amount in order to have some damn good food.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Training should be something you do because you LOVE your body, not because you HATE it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let me tell you, it feels so freaking good to fuel my body with foods that make me feel good without having to worry about “burning it off later”.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Can you relate to the old me? Let me help you. Start by leaving a comment below or shooting me a DM. Healthy + happy can coexist 💛✨ #evolveyourperspective

Put down the peanut butter pretzels and listen up 👂🏻
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you ever found yourself elbow deep in a bag of chips, Cheez-Its, or yup…you guessed it…peanut butter pretzels and not even realizing that you’re eating them?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been there too 🙋🏻‍♀️. It’s almost like you blacked out and before you know it you ate the entire bag. Am I right?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is what we call mindless eating. You’re eating while distracted by your phone, the tv, a movie, your emotions or another human.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I threw up a post over on @sd_evolution the other day talking about how NOT to do this and how to eat more mindfully, and let me tell you, it hit HOME with a lot of our clients last week.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those few handfuls of chips you ate while cooking dinner, along with a handful of peanut butter pretzels from after work, along with a quick lick of the peanut butter adds up. Before you know it, you’ve consumed an extra 500 calories that day just from those tiny bites, nibbles and tastes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Note that I never said to NOT eat these things. If you enjoy them, include them in your diet (me and these PB pretzels go way back and they ain’t leaving my life anytime soon).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re struggling to see progress, check yourself. Are you REALLY being that consistent with your nutrition? Could eating more mindfully help you progress a bit faster? The likelihood is high AF 🙌🏼✨ #evolveyourperspective

I had a moment the other day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was looking at my Timehop app and a video popped up of me exactly one year ago.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was squatting 225# for 3x10.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I immediately felt like a failure. I can’t remember the last time I threw 225# on the bar for ONE rep, nevermind multiple sets of 10 reps.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had a little moment, let myself shed a couple tears, then I remembered one thing: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was only remembering my highlight reel.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wasn’t remembering that I spent 6 days a week in the gym at that time. Or that I was still on birth control not dealing with any crazy hormonal issues. Or that I was still working my full-time 9-5 job, desperately waiting for the day I could run my business full-time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, I probably can’t squat 225# for sets of 10, but I can do a lot of other freaking amazing things including running an insanely successful business full time WITH my husband, while being free of hormonal birth control.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Maybe there will be a day where I can squat a couple plates with ease again, maybe not, but I know where I am now is exactly where I’m supposed to be, and sometimes that’s the only reminder we need✨💛 #evolveyourperspective #rightwhereyouneedtobe

Flexible dieting means pizza with my family .🍕
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It means not having to say, “no thanks” when a friend asks to grab some coffee and donuts. 🍩
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It means choosing veggies because they make me feel GOOD, not because I “have to”.🥗
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While there are guidelines with flexible dieting to ensure you’re getting the most out of your nutrition, there are no rigid rules.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
& that’s what I love most about it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s no getting bored because your meal plan sucks.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s no forcing food in at certain times because you need to eat.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It adapts to YOUR lifestyle and schedule which is why it’s the key for most people.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I haven’t actually tracked my macros in 3 months now, because I have the knowledge FROM tracking for so long, that I can be mindful and give my body what it needs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The days of miserable diets and starving yourselves are long gone my friends. Flexibility is the key component to long-term success💛✨ #evolveyourperspective

COSTCO HAUL🛒
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You guys voted for a swipe through so here it is! This is what we usually get (and then some bc first trip since vacation and we were hungry 🤣).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Proteins: Salmon burgers, turkey breast, egg whites (also got 3,000 cage-free eggs lol), and chicken sausage! We get our beef and chicken from our local grocery store.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Avocados because I go through at least a pack of these a week, spinach for salads + omelettes, sweet potatoes + bell peppers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Almond milk, raspberries (mainly for Cal) and shroomies for omelettes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. All the carbz. Our favorite rice, oats, everything bagels and Dave’s Killer Bread (the BEST).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Random/snacks. I HAD to get the Lindt because it’s my favorite this time of year. Annie’s Mac and cheese, RX Bars and peanut butter pretzels which remind me of childhood lol.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As you can see a mix of nutrient-dense goods, efficient options and snacks. No foods are off limits in this household👌🏻 What’s your favorite thing to get at @costco ?!?
